Craig concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trusts, asset protection/preservation, trust administration, and probate disputes. Monthly, he hosts seminars, workshops, talks and panel discussions on a variety of estate planning and elder law topics. Craig has appeared on ABC, CBS, and NBC and in print periodicals/journals as a legal specialist, and his cases/commentary have been profiled on other major networks and publications.
Craig spends the vast majority of my time meeting with individuals and families to educate and create personalized estate plans. His primary focus is protecting families from the devastating legal effects of disability and death. His creative problem solving abilities make him a great asset in the courtroom and in the office.
“We help individuals, families and business owners, just like you, plan for the certainties and uncertainties that life throws at us. That is what we do day in and day out”
In 2018, Craig was selected as a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. For over 20 years, the Academy has been a highly-regarded and sought-after resource for attorneys and consumers alike, and has been recognized by Consumer Reports, Suze Orman in her book, 9 Steps to Financial Freedom and numerous times by Money Magazine. The Academy is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning by providing its exclusive membership of attorneys with up-to-date research on estate and tax planning, educational materials, and other important resources to empower them to provide superior estate planning services.
Craig is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Named as a Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Craig has been recognized by his peers as a proven attorney.
A Florida native, Craig is admitted to practice in Utah, Florida, New York and Washington, D.C. Additionally, Craig is authorized to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and Federal Tax Court.
Craig earned his undergraduate degree from Bentley College in finance and accounting prior to receiving his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from St. Thomas University School of Law, and Masters of Tax Laws from the University of Miami. The LL.M. (Master of Laws) is an internationally recognized postgraduate law degree. Craig obtained an LL.M. in taxation in order to deepen his understanding of the tax ramifications faced by businesses and individuals to create easy solutions to complex and difficult transactions.
Craig’s involvement in educational and charitable organizations includes roles on the Board of Directors of Lawyers Project, Best Buddies (business buddies), Margaux’s Miracle Foundation, and Museum of Contemporary Art (moca shakers). Furthermore, he founded Lawyers Project, a philanthropic exchange program that aims to maximize charitable acts through members leading and participating in community service projects, attending networking events, and providing volunteer legal services.
Whether it’s leading a team of lawyers on creating an family business succession plan or training for a half Iron Man, Craig finds pleasure through calmly solving problems and keeping his wits about him as he takes care of business. When not in the office, Mr. Dell enjoys reading with his son, skiing, traveling and eating cheeseburgers.
